Michael “Mike” Gugig is the Founder and Managing Member of Gugig Law LLC, bringing more than 25 years of legal experience across major law firms, senior corporate leadership, and startup general counsel roles. Based in Marlboro, NJ, Gugig Law combines sophisticated legal knowledge with practical judgment and personalized attention to serve businesses, entrepreneurs, and individuals.

Michael “Mike” Gugig is the Founder and Managing Member of Gugig Law, LLC. He brings more than 25 years of legal experience across BigLaw, senior in-house legal leadership, and startup general counsel roles. Mike built the Gugig Law to give businesses sophisticated counsel, paired with practical judgment and personal attention.
Mike has been a partner at the Dentons and Saul Ewing law firms (each is among the largest and most highly regarded law firms in the country). In-house, he held senior legal roles at Transamerica Life Insurance, where he led all state government relations, and at Genworth Financial, where he served as Division General Counsel. He was also the founding U.S. General Counsel of Assured Allies, an AI-powered tech startup. These roles have given Mike deep experience in many areas of business and personal law, along with a clear sense of how legal advice and decisions can affect business outcomes.
At Gugig Law, Mike advises businesses and individuals on new entity formation, contract negotiation and drafting, employment matters, residential real estate, and regulatory compliance. He also serves as outside general counsel for companies that need experienced legal leadership without a full-time hire.
Mike is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York. He earned his J.D. from Rutgers Law School, where he graduated first in his class. He also holds an M.S. in Strategy, Leadership and Management from Michigan State University’s Broad College of Business, and in a B.A. in Political Science, summa cum laude, from Kean University.
